Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.

• Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred.

• One (1) to two (2) years of relevant experience in coordinating, planning, and executing group activities and events.

• Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with residents, staff, and vendors.

• Proficient in operating standard office equipment.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary.


• Position may involve driving responsibilities (may utilize Company provided vehicle and/or personal vehicle for social and other various activity and program-related outings).

• Must meet and comply with Company's Motor Vehicle Policy standards.

• Strong computer skills – including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; familiarity with iPad/tablet and other technology devices is essential.

Responsibilities:


As a Life Engagement Specialist, you will design and implement programs that bring joy and fulfillment to our residents, enhancing their lives and meeting their active aging lifestyle expectations.

You will collaborate with residents to create personalized opportunities that add joy and surprise to their daily routines. You will also take on managerial duties as needed.

• Lead designated Life Engagement programs and develop related daily, weekly, and monthly plans.


• Discover innovative ways to keep residents connected with one another, the internal community, their hobbies, interests, and the broader community.

• Teach and lead fitness activities, ensuring proper use of fitness equipment.


• Engage and inspire residents by incorporating elements of spontaneity, simple pleasures, purpose, and strength, fostering program participation; with special attention to residents who may be confined to their apartments.


• Welcome new residents, making a concerted effort to include and engage them in activities and introduce them to others in the community with similar interests and backgrounds.

• Implement Company-designed programs as specified.

• Keep residents informed of upcoming activities and maintain an updated schedule of events.


• Prepare and distribute an engaging and creative monthly program calendar that includes community events and programs within the Company’s specified timelines.

• Support Operations in achieving customer satisfaction scores that meet or exceed Company standards.

• Conduct all community opening and closing procedures as scheduled.

• Act as a manager on duty as required.

• Participate in community public relations, including collaboration with Support Center public relations and preparation of local positive publicity stories.

• Coordinate departmental needs and goals within the specified budget.


• Hire, train, supervise, coach, develop, and manage the Driver position at the community; working closely to meet the transportation needs of residents for schedules and outside events.

• Assist in recruiting, training, and managing volunteers where applicable.


• Help plan parties, events, and activities, as well as decorate the community according to the seasons and/or holidays throughout the year, including planning birthday celebrations and life events to honor residents.

• Maintain clean and organized activity spaces and work areas.

• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

Salary Range:
The wage range for this position is $21.00/hr - $24.15/hr, based on prior work history and experience.
