Process Engineer II

At IPS, we are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer II to join our team in Cary, NC. As a Process Engineer II, you will play a key role in assisting and supporting the process engineering design for all types of projects.
Responsibilities- Prepare process design documents and deliverables for all phases of projects, including conceptual designs, basis of design, and detailed design.
- Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
- Modify reports, specifications, drawings (PFD's and P&ID's), construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs to scope of the project as directed by the Lead Engineer.
- Make calculations, using engineering formulas and skills for process design.
- Create specialized drawings such as PFD's, MFD's, UDD's, and P&ID's.
- Select equipment based on recommendations of Lead Process Engineer and generate equipment lists and schedules.
- Provide drawing for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate into drawings by drafters.
- Research design options and document findings for Lead Process Engineer.
- Keep Lead Engineer informed of work load and any changes in project scope or additional services.
- Provide information to Lead Engineer for incorporation into specifications.
- Design in accordance with cGMP process guidelines for pharmaceutical facilities.
- Organize and maintain project files. Maintain a neat and organized work area which allows efficient access to information required by other team members.
- Assure that drawings and designs are in accordance with company production and design standards.
- 5+ years engineering experience.
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs and computer-aided drafting.
- Ability to interface with other disciplines on a project where required.
- Experience in a variety of pharmaceutical projects including API, OSD, and Aseptic Fill/Finishing.
