Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Swim America Site Supervisor to join our team at the New Prague Fitness and Aquatic Center. As a key member of our aquatic program, you will be responsible for supervising staff, testing students for advancement, and ensuring compliance with SwimAmerica guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate with instructors to ensure adequate staffing for all classes
  • Test students for advancement and provide feedback to instructors
  • Liaise with parents and guardians regarding SwimAmerica policies and procedures
  • Oversee and evaluate instructor performance and placement
  • Monitor lessons to ensure adherence to SwimAmerica guidelines
  • Communicate with the Aquatics Coordinator regarding pool maintenance and safety issues
Requirements
  • Certification and experience as a SwimAmerica instructor
  • Completion of the SwimAmerica site supervision certification or ability to obtain
  • Competitive swimming experience and knowledge of swimming techniques and teaching methods
  • CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain
  • Previous experience working in a swim program and supervision experience preferred
Work Schedule

Flexible scheduling and shifts vary Monday through Sunday at the New Prague Fitness and Aquatic Center. Swimming lessons are held throughout the school year a few evenings a week and during the summer during the mornings and evenings. Additional hours for lifeguarding are available.

Training and Development

SwimAmerica Site Supervisor training is completed online. Attendance at staff trainings is required.
