Position Overview:
Under the guidance of the SSR Supervisor, you will be an integral member of the Supply Service Representative Team dedicated to delivering exceptional customer support to internal U-Haul facilities.
This team is tasked with the efficient processing and entry of orders, as well as managing expedited or specialized handling of requests as necessary.
The SSR team plays a crucial role in assisting all U-Haul locations with inquiries or issues related to the Supply Chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold a high standard of customer service.
- Maintain professional and courteous communication with customers or suppliers through phone and email.
- Address concerns by escalating them to Buyers, Material Planners, Freight, and Management Teams when supplier performance negatively affects U-Haul sites.
- Provide effective resolutions for disputes to meet stakeholder needs while adhering to departmental policies.
- Ensure responses to field feedback regarding order issues are appropriate, process-compliant, and constructive.
- Assist Buyers, Planners, Freight, and Management with special projects and reporting tasks.
- Review and rectify orders marked with errors.
- Engage in ongoing training with the SSR Team on systems and daily tasks as required.
- Communicate critical information swiftly and effectively to all relevant parties when changes or challenges arise.
- Examine orders for compliance with Purchasing policies and internal audits.
- Support the completion of all daily and as-needed SSR tasks.
- Pursue continuous improvement and development, including process enhancements for the team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience preferred.
- Strong decision-making abilities.
- Positive demeanor and a readiness to assist.
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
Education:
- Required: High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
