We are seeking a skilled Vacuum Amplifier Design Engineer to join our dynamic team at Elve Inc in Davis, CA. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in the design and optimization of high-efficiency lightweight millimeter-wave and near-THz RF power amplifiers.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and hands-on experience with RF test equipment, including network analyzers and oscilloscopes.

  • Design and optimize RF power amplifiers, collaborating closely with manufacturing and test teams.
  • Conduct simulations, design RF components, and select appropriate materials for high-frequency applications.
  • Work on cutting-edge technology, involving process improvements and tackling engineering challenges directly.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Proficiency in RF/microwave design and simulation software (e.g., HFSS, CST).
  • Experience in designing and characterizing vacuum RF power amplifiers.
  • Solid understanding of amplifier architectures and circuit theory.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze circuit performance and troubleshoot issues.

Additionally, experience with high-frequency circuit design and fabrication techniques, knowledge of thermal management in RF applications, and familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) would be highly valued.
