Job Overview

NOMAD is on the lookout for a skilled and driven Sales Application Engineer who possesses a solid history of success in sales and a genuine enthusiasm for innovation and technical application solutions. In this role, you will effectively communicate the advantages of NOMAD's offerings and align them with customer requirements. Your ability to convey technical information clearly will be crucial in building and maintaining trust-based relationships with clients.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Acquire and maintain a comprehensive understanding of NOMAD's products and services, including their technical features and benefits.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer needs and challenges, crafting tailored sales proposals.
  • Organize and facilitate product demonstrations to highlight key functionalities and address customer inquiries.
  • Provide pre-sales assistance by responding to technical questions and engaging in sales discussions.
  • Work alongside the engineering team to resolve technical issues or requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather technical specifications and ensure successful solution implementation.
  • Deliver post-sales support, including technical troubleshooting and customer training, to enhance satisfaction with NOMAD's offerings.
  • Share valuable market insights and feedback with engineering and marketing teams.
  • Participate in industry trade shows and events to promote NOMAD's products.
  • Stay informed about industry standards, market trends, and competitor products.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify potential sales opportunities.
  • Contribute to sales strategies and contract negotiations based on technical insights.
Qualifications
  • A degree in engineering is preferred, particularly in electrical, mechanical, or software engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales engineering or similar technical sales role.
  • Demonstrated success in selling complex technical solutions.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify customer needs and propose effective solutions.
  • Self-motivated with the capability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Normal hearing and vision capabilities, with or without corrective measures.
  • Good manual dexterity for using computers and other productivity tools.
  • Ideal candidates should be accessible to the East Coast, though this is not mandatory.
