Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Learning Disabilities Teacher/Consultant to join our Child Study Team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for educational diagnostic assessments and learning disabilities remediation. You will provide consultation to our staff in learning disabilities remediation practices and share responsibilities as case manager for Child Study Team evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform educational evaluations for inpatient and outpatients
  • Prepare written reports of evaluation findings, including appropriate intervention recommendations
  • Provide learning disability remediation services as required
  • Participate in team and parent conferences on CST cases
  • Disseminate findings accurately and sensitively
  • Share responsibility as case manager for CST, including preparing team reports for schools or agencies, as requested
  • Maintain timely and accurate records consistent with Department Policies
Requirements:
  • Certification by the New Jersey Department of Education as a Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant
  • American Heart Association BLS Provider Certification
  • Tact, initiative, and judgment in the performance of duties
