We are currently seeking a Lead Instrumentation Engineer whose primary responsibility will be to enhance our Instruments team by developing essential instrument drivers for our clientele.

As demand for our LINQ automation platform grows within the life sciences sector, our engineering team is expanding. We require highly skilled engineers to capture client requirements and steer our customer projects and Product Engineering teams toward effective solutions that bridge hardware and software in life sciences automation.

Key Responsibilities:

General Duties
  • Facilitate the delivery of instrument drivers for our clients.
  • Assume ownership of significant projects and ensure their completion.
  • Decompose large initiatives into manageable tasks and delegate appropriately among team members.
  • Address complex challenges effectively.
  • Provide reliable solutions, identifying and proposing resolutions to critical project-related issues.
  • Recommend alternative solutions to client challenges based on available insights.
Software Development
  • Design and implement software systems as dictated by product requirements.
  • Assist users with any software-related issues they may encounter.
  • Create test scenarios and conduct testing of integrated systems that include software components.
  • Review peer code to ensure adherence to software engineering best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in driver development.
  • Familiarity with integrated or embedded systems is preferred.
  • Collaborative mindset in software development.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred skills include: Python, Protobuf, REST APIs, gRPC, TCP/IP, and serial interfaces.
Desirable Attributes:
  • Experience in DevOps.
  • Knowledge of data integrations.
  • Background in life sciences.
  • Familiarity with robotics.
