Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Shelby County Outreach Coordinator to join our team at Planned Parenthood of Tennessee and North Mississippi. As a key member of our outreach team, you will be responsible for engaging with the public in a friendly and professional manner, delivering a compelling campaign message, and collecting complete survey answers from voters.

Responsibilities:

  • Public Engagement: Engage with the public in a friendly and professional manner by going door-to-door in target neighborhoods.
  • Campaign Messaging: Deliver a compelling campaign message and collect complete survey answers from voters.
  • Training and Development: Participate in trainings to improve outreach skills.
  • Time Management: Complete shifts and canvassing lists in a timely manner.
  • Communication: Good communication skills with internal staff.

Requirements:

  • Passion for Social Change: Passionate about social change and fostering democracy.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to work with the public and internal staff.
  • Hard Work and Responsibility: Hard worker who will complete shifts and communicate with the local Field Organizer.
  • Door-to-Door Canvassing Experience: Prior door-to-door canvassing experience is a plus but not required.

Skills:

  • Outgoing and Comfortable: Outgoing and comfortable talking with the public, walking around neighborhoods, and knocking on doors.
  • Responsible and Punctual: Responsible, punctual, self-motivated, and strong passion for politics and changes.
  • Bilingual: Bilingual is a plus.
  • Strong Verbal and Customer Service Skills: Strong verbal and customer service skills.
