Nursing Director of Clinical Operations

Compass Healthcare Consulting and Placement is seeking a seasoned Registered Nurse to lead the Case Management Department at one of our esteemed clients in the Bronx, NY. This is an exciting opportunity for a healthcare professional to make a meaningful impact on patient care outcomes while working collaboratively with a team of clinical staff and healthcare leaders.
Responsibilities- Provide strategic direction and administrative oversight to the Case Management Department, ensuring seamless coordination of hospital-wide functions, including case management, utilization review, and discharge planning.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate case management programs that align with organizational standards and clinical guidelines.
- Foster strong relationships with community-based services and organizations to facilitate referrals and optimize patient care.
- Monitor patient care data and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
- Promote cost-effective care solutions that balance clinical and financial considerations while prioritizing patient quality of life.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of clinical pathways that enhance cost-effectiveness while providing high-quality care.
- Consult to optimize patient outcomes and length of stay metrics in alignment with best practices, hospital priorities, payor requirements, and regulatory mandates.
- Implement and monitor the Utilization Management Plan, ensuring timely and effective management of denials and appeals.
- Maintain a reduced case manager caseload to optimize productivity and efficiency.
- Oversee departmental budget processes, ensuring accurate forecasting and fiscal accountability.
- Supervise and mentor Case Management Staff, promoting professional growth and development.
Qualified candidates will possess a Licensed & Registered RN in the State of New York, a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Master's preferred), and Case Management certification within 2 years of employment. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in nursing, with two (2) years in a supervisory position, is required.
Compensation and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary range of $150,000 - $160,000 per year, along with an attractive benefits package, including PTO, medical, dental, vision, HRA/FSA, education reimbursement, retirement savings, life/disability insurance, and commuter benefits.
