Cardiology Heart Failure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Internal Medicine physician to participate in a one-year clinical and scholarly program at the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center. The Cardiology Heart Failure Scholars program is designed to provide in-depth training and experience in the management of patients with heart failure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in inpatient and observational Cardiology services, working collaboratively with Cardiology faculty and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
- Provide Emergency Department consultations regarding Cardiology Admissions.
- Work collaboratively with Cardiology Attendings, Fellows, Residents, and APPs to develop a unified Cardiology plan for each patient.
Requirements:
- Board certification in Internal Medicine.
- Demonstrated experience working in a diverse environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
- Clinical and scholarly interest in a career in heart failure.
