As a Battery Innovation Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in refining cell designs for our next-generation battery and cell platforms. Working closely with our R&D team, you'll optimize and adapt our technology to various cell formats, duty cycles, and customer requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep technical understanding of battery interactions, aqueous/alkaline battery materials, and cell/battery testing. With a strong focus on data-driven decision-making, you'll be able to justify technical choices and communicate complex issues clearly. Experience with product development processes, documentation, and interpersonal skills are also essential.

As a key member of our team, you'll contribute to crafting innovative battery solutions that utilize a unique zinc sponge anode. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead projects to enhance battery performance and lifetime
  • Design electrochemical experiments to elucidate failure modes and derive mechanistic insight to battery operation
  • Write, execute, and report on battery test plans
  • Interface with customers and suppliers
  • Conduct material, formulation, and design evaluations for new product versions or new generations of products
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in battery design, development, and optimization
  • Strong documentation and interpersonal skills
