This role is dedicated to the retail operations of The UPS Store, distinct from warehouse or corporate functions.

The Retail Operations Supervisor collaborates with the Store Manager to oversee daily activities at the retail outlet. Responsibilities may include opening and closing the store, managing team productivity, ensuring exceptional customer service, monitoring expenses, and contributing to regular performance reports for the franchise owner. The Supervisor plays a key role in profit and loss management, continuous improvement initiatives, service delivery standards, personnel oversight, and business growth.

The UPS Store operates a network of independently owned and franchised service centers focused on providing solutions for small businesses.

The ideal candidate should possess a high school diploma or GED (with college coursework or a degree preferred), two to three years of experience in customer-facing retail operations, strong leadership and managerial skills, proficient computer and software knowledge, and the physical capability to perform job tasks (including lifting up to 70 lbs and bending). A dynamic personality is essential, along with the ability to motivate a team to achieve set objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists in personnel management, including recruiting, training, scheduling, and coaching team members.
  • Coordinates work assignments and facilitates regular staff meetings.
  • Monitors and enhances customer service delivery and satisfaction levels.
  • Available to work weekends as necessary.
  • Contributes to the development and execution of the store's marketing strategies.
  • Assists in managing store finances and preparing necessary reports.
  • Oversees inventory management.
  • Reviews employee timesheets for payroll processing.
  • Ensures store maintenance, including cleanliness, safety, and organization.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2 to 3 years of supervisory experience in a customer-facing retail environment.
  • Availability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) as required.
  • High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Advanced education or coursework is preferred.
  • Experience with profit and loss management is advantageous.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
