Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Community Action Council. As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a vital role in the development and implementation of our education program in child development centers for children ages six weeks through five years old.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth in young children.
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with other educators to design and implement curriculum that meets the needs of diverse learners.
  • Monitor and assess child development, identifying areas of strength and need, and making data-driven decisions to inform instruction.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices in early childhood education.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent required within two years of hire.
  • Experience working with children with disabilities and diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
