We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team at Trinity Health Michigan. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Operating Room department.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist surgeons and medical staff during surgical procedures, providing necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including setting up and maintaining sterile fields.
- Participate in sponge, needle, and instrument counts to ensure accuracy and patient safety.
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team to ensure continuity of patient care.
- Transport laboratory, surgical instruments, and supplies as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the registered nurse circulator.
- Associate degree in Surgical Technology or specialized training in the Armed Forces.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Surgical Technician.
- Surgical Technician Certification preferred.
- BLS Certification.
