Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction, coordination, and leadership for all facilities management services to support the mission and strategic objectives of the MetroHealth Foundation.
  • Plan, develop, and implement policies and procedures for facilities management operations, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local Codes, as well as accreditation agency requirements.
  • Combine engineering and administrative skills to manage facilities, human resources, and operational and capital budgets.
  • Serve as a role model, resource person, and advocate for facilities administration and customer service, and liaison with all areas of the organization, including medical and non-medical departments, inspectors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Uphold the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of the MetroHealth Foundation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Master's degree in engineering or an MBA, or equivalent knowledge, skills, and working experience in lieu of the Master's Degree.
  • Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) certification.
  • Fifteen years' experience in supervision, facilities management, construction management, contract administration, purchasing, cost estimating, cost accounting, and labor relations.
  • Working knowledge of boiler plant, mechanical, and electrical systems found in healthcare/research environments.
  • Demonstrated success complying with Joint Commission Standards and Surveys.
  • Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local Codes and Standards.
  • Proven leadership, engineering competence, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated evidence of continuing professional self-development.
  • Facilities management experience on a multi-building campus.
