Job Title: Director of Trade Operations

Boyd Watterson Asset Management is seeking a highly skilled Director of Trade Operations to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio.

Job Summary:

The Director of Trade Operations will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our back-office functions, including shareholder services and operations. This role will require strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with internal and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures for servicing private and public funds
  • Work closely with product and technology teams to enhance and automate key operational processes
  • Provide oversight of service providers as applicable
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations (SEC, DOL, FINRA, ERISA, etc.)
  • Oversee shareholder services, including reconcilement, performance, trade settlement, new accounts, account maintenance, proxies, and regulatory mailings
  • Monitor completion of client statements and booklets
  • Supervise operations team and foster a culture of continuous improvement
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or other business-related field; Master's Degree and/or CPA or other accounting designation is a plus
  • 10+ years of Accounting and Operations experience
  • Securities Operations experience preferred
  • Understanding of product management processes is a plus
  • Previous supervisory experience necessary
  • Proven ability to multi-task and work both independently and as a team player in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Passion for the application of innovative technology
  • Willingness to learn new topics and work in an evolving business environment
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Organized and detail oriented with big picture capability
