We are seeking an experienced Structural Project Engineer to join our team at DeSimone Consulting Engineers. As a key member of our engineering staff, you will be responsible for implementing standard engineering procedures to direct the flow of engineering work.

Job Summary

This salaried, exempt position is anticipated to pay approximately $82,500-$87,500 per year, dependent upon experience and qualifications. The hiring salary range represents our estimated compensation for this role in the specified location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate structural engineering design with other design team members
  • Provide input to the Project Manager regarding project planning and scheduling of project components and milestones
  • Maintain clear records of all design decisions, calculations, and project-related documentation
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering; Masters of Science degree a plus
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a structural Project Engineering role
  • Ability to perform design and analysis of low, mid, and high-rise buildings utilizing software packages such as ETABS, RAM, RISA, and SAFE
  • Extensive knowledge of concrete, steel, masonry, and wood design standards, as well as local and national building codes required
  • Knowledge of standard construction practices and ability to work with contractors to address construction issues
