Position Overview
As a Construction Safety Coordinator at Hanra Group, you will be instrumental in strategizing, organizing, and advising on all facets of our client's safety initiatives. Your collaboration with field teams, site managers, foremen, and external contractors will be vital in executing the client's safety protocols. In this role, you will promote continuous safety awareness, provide training and education, and cultivate a robust safety culture throughout the project site. Your capacity to positively influence colleagues and instill a safety-oriented mindset will be essential. You will support management in refining safety processes and achieving safety objectives through engagement at all levels.

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8-10 hours daily.
- Frequent need to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb while conducting safety inspections and investigations.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Exposure to potential noise, vibration, hazardous materials, and elevated work areas.
- Required use of personal protective equipment including hard hats, safety footwear, eye protection, hearing protection, and other gear suitable for construction site hazards.
- Work performed in both indoor and outdoor settings, with potential exposure to varying weather conditions and temperatures.
- Mobility around the project site and ability to access all areas and levels of construction projects.
- Communicate via phone, tablet, computer, and in-person with team members and supervision.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of current federal, state, and local safety legislation, regulations, and standards to ensure policies, procedures, and training are compliant.
- Proactively research emerging safety trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance the safety program.
- Manage incident investigations including report reviews, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventative actions.
- Oversee distribution, coordination, and tracking of all new and ongoing safety training programs and certifications across project sites.
- Collaborate with site teams to establish project safety goals and provide support to effectively meet targets.
- Handle preparation, submission, and diligent maintenance of all safety records and documentation. Verify team training and certifications are current.
- Cultivate positive working relationships with OSHA representatives. Maintain detailed documentation of interactions, citations, and interpretations.
- Clearly communicate safety information, lessons learned, updates, and insights to field crews and leadership through presentations, alerts, and accident reviews.
- Conduct regular job hazard analyses to identify risks and propose control measures to mitigate safety exposures.
- Inspect safety equipment and coordinate preventative maintenance and replacements to optimize readiness and functionality.
- Perform in-depth analysis of incident data to reveal injury and accident trends and pinpoint areas of focus for safety improvements.
- Carry out other safety activities and projects as designated by Senior Safety Manager and/or Safety Director.
- Knowledge of safety and risk management within the construction industry and regulations relating to employee safety and accident prevention.
- Willingness to train, lead teams, motivate, and show patience when retraining is necessary.

Requirements
- 3-5 years direct construction safety experience.
- First Aid/ CPR certification.
- OSHA 510 certification.
- OSHA 500 certification.
- CHST certification preferred.
