Your Role...

As a skilled and enthusiastic Sushi Culinary Specialist, you will bring creativity and precision to the art of sushi preparation. Your dedication to quality will ensure that every dish is a delightful experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare high-quality sushi with attention to detail, adhering to our established standards for portion sizes and cooking methods.
  • Train and mentor team members on sushi preparation techniques and presentation.
  • Ensure all food items are prepared and presented according to outlet standards.
  • Take full responsibility for the quality of all products served.
  • Assist in the preparation of banquet event orders as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in accordance with health regulations.
  • Keep food stations stocked to facilitate smooth service.
  • Accurately portion food items prior to cooking based on standard recipes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including all kitchen equipment.
  • Prepare items for various cooking methods, ensuring proper seasoning and presentation.
  • Handle and store all products safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with food preparation during slower periods as required.
  • Follow closing procedures and assist team members in closing the kitchen.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improvement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and line cooking.
  • Proficient in professional cooking techniques and knife skills.
  • Basic understanding of food cost management.
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety, sanitation, and food handling practices.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to read and comprehend basic cooking instructions.
  • Strong communication skills with team members and management.
  • Commitment to embodying the guiding principles of IR Management LLC.

Work Environment:

Your schedule may vary based on operational needs, but you can expect to work approximately 50 to 55 hours per week.
