We are seeking an experienced Senior Information Services Support Technician to provide support to individual users of IS equipment and technology. This role requires a strong understanding of network, hardware, software, and printing problems, as well as excellent customer relations skills.
Key Responsibilities- Configure and install new end-user devices, including workstations, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Support, troubleshoot, and resolve end-user hardware and software issues, providing recommendations as needed.
- Install and set up new computer systems for testing and loading of software.
- Answer the IT Service Center phone and check email, making recommendations and troubleshooting user issues to resolution.
- Document issues in the ticket tracking system.
- Act as the escalation point for customer relations matters and problem resolutions.
- Train new account users and verify that access and security of Information Services resources are properly maintained according to established organizational policies and procedures.
- Assist the Information Technology Service Center manager with department processes to ensure service level and operational level standards.
- Provide on-call after-hours support as required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum 5 years of experience troubleshooting complex network, hardware, software, and printing problems.
- Experience in an acute care hospital environment.
- Excellent customer relations skills and the ability to defuse/mitigate serious customer relations issues.
