Overview of the Casual Pool Safety Attendant Role:

At Fusion Lifestyle, our Casual Pool Safety Attendants (also known as Recreation Assistants) operate on a flexible, zero-hour contract, dedicated to ensuring a secure and enjoyable experience for all visitors utilizing the Centre's amenities. In addition to maintaining safety, they are responsible for various tasks, including cleaning designated areas, setting up and dismantling activities and events, and performing pool water quality tests in accordance with established protocols. Our Pool Safety Attendants actively interact with the public, promoting repeat visits, addressing customer inquiries, and consistently delivering exceptional service.

As a Casual Pool Safety Attendant, you will enjoy the flexibility of a casual work arrangement while being part of a leading organization in the leisure sector.

Your working hours will fluctuate based on the operational needs of the business. You may be required to work various shifts, including weekends, early mornings, late evenings, and public holidays; therefore, a flexible and approachable demeanor, along with a proactive, team-oriented attitude, is essential.

Qualifications and Skills Required:
To be eligible for the Casual Pool Safety Attendant position at Fusion Lifestyle, candidates must be proficient swimmers with outstanding customer service abilities. Ideal applicants should possess:

  • A recognized UK pool lifeguard certification
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations, with the capability to implement them effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to appropriately address pool users' behavior and quickly establish trust with customers
  • A high level of physical fitness
  • The ability to provide top-notch customer service to a diverse clientele
  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of customers and the business
