Job Summary:
As the Credit and Accounts Manager, your primary responsibility will be to enhance the hotel's cash flow through effective credit and collection strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the hotel's credit and collection operations.
  • Assist in billing processes and customer service initiatives.
  • Evaluate and approve credit applications to mitigate collection risks.
  • Manage accounts receivable efficiently to optimize cash flow.
  • Develop and enforce robust credit policies and procedures.
  • Utilize resources to improve accounts receivable turnover and minimize outstanding balances through proactive measures.
  • Conduct monthly credit meetings to ensure alignment across departments.
  • Enhance communication with all stakeholders involved in the credit process.
  • Maintain knowledge of state tax regulations and tax-exempt reporting.
  • Ensure timely posting of payments and maintain accurate records.
  • Review daily account balances to uphold the hotel's credit policy.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in hotel accounting, specifically in accounts receivable.
  • Proficient computer and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with sales tax laws and tax-exempt reporting.
  • Advanced knowledge of credit and deposit policies is preferred.
