The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is committed to excellence in patient care, education, and research. This position will provide behavior education and health counseling to individuals participating in the Lifestyle Weight Management Program.

As a Health Improvement Specialist, you will utilize your knowledge of health education and behavior change theories to engage, educate, and support participants in improving their health status or minimizing the impact of disease. You will evaluate and design evidence-based health educational resources and connect participants to OSU and community providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide behavior education and health counseling to individuals in the Lifestyle Weight Management Program
  • Evaluate and design evidence-based health educational resources
  • Connect participants to OSU and community providers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Nutrition, Exercise Physiology, or Health Education required
  • 2 years of relevant experience required
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred

Estimated Salary: $62,000 - $75,000 per year
