Job Summary:

The Consumer Insights Manager will be responsible for driving functional excellence at Basic Resources, Inc. This person will have a passion for the consumer through valuable insights, strategic thinking, and creative problem-solving. You will use your experience with syndicated and POS data to equip the sales and planning teams with forward-thinking opportunities to help drive the business. Your ability to synthesize data and present it to all levels of the organization will be crucial to garnering consensus in the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop expertise in the apparel industry, with a focus on consumer behavior, demographic, and retail trends, particularly in the socks and underwear segment.
  • Utilize external and internal data to identify patterns and craft expert analysis, driving business decisions with data-driven insights.
  • Take the initiative to solve complex problems and uncover whitespace opportunities, fostering a culture of innovation and growth.
  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, adapting your style to suit the audience and presenting data-driven insights in a clear and concise manner.
  • Transform data into forward-looking, visually engaging content, enhancing the company's market understanding and competitive edge.
  • Work with syndicated data providers like Circana/IRI and Nielsen, and be comfortable learning new platforms like Luminate, to stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Deliver regular market updates and industry insights to stakeholders, providing actionable recommendations to inform business decisions.
  • Own data attribution, organization, and maintenance within reporting platforms, ensuring seamless data access and analysis.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with cross-functional teams and external partners, driving collaboration and mutual understanding.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in consumer insights and analysis, with a strong quantitative background.
  • Proven ability to take ownership of initiatives, work proactively, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and requirements.

Compensation:

The annual salary for this position starts at $135,000, with a comprehensive compensation package that includes valuable benefits and opportunities for growth and development.
