The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at George Mason University invites applications for one or more renewable-term, non-tenure-track faculty positions at the academic rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor, or at the rank of Instructor, beginning Fall 2024.

ResponsibilitiesSuccessful candidates will be expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels across in-person, hybrid and online formats; contribute to the development and enhancement of course and lab materials, syllabi, and instructional resources in alignment with program objectives, departmental standards, and industry best practices; advise students; participate in all aspects of the department's mission; and serve the profession.
Required QualificationsApplicants for the position of Assistant/Associate or Full Professor must have received a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent in a related field by the start date of the position, and should have demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and curriculum development.
Applicants who have received a MS degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent in a related field will be considered for Instructor position.
Senior candidates with established records of excellent teaching will be eligible for a term associate professor or professor position.
Preferred QualificationsApplicants in all areas of Power and Energy Systems will be given serious consideration. We are particularly interested in candidates in the area of Renewable Electric Energy Systems.
Candidates who can build collaborations with other departments within the College and across the University will benefit from the strong support and encouragement for interdisciplinary collaboration within the college and the university.
