Nurse Supervisor

At Huntington Park Nursing Center, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Charge Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Job Summary:The Charge Nurse is responsible for overseeing and supporting our Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide timely and effective care to our patients. This includes interpreting and clarifying medical instructions from physicians or the Director of Nursing (DON), charting and reporting on any changes in patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed, and maintaining accurate and understandable patient care records.
Responsibilities:- Observe, document, and report on symptoms and changes in patient conditions
- Take and record vital signs, including temperature, respiration, and pulse
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, recording results and outcomes
- Maintain accurate and understandable patient care records and other clinical documentation
- Identify and report process or facility issues, offering solutions for improvement to the DON or Administrator
- Lead by example in supporting a kind, collaborative, and supportive work environment
- Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license valid in California
- 1-2 years of experience in a nursing or similar facility preferred
- Excellent customer service and emotional maturity skills
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills
