As a Clinical Unit Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading a team of nurses to deliver high-quality, individualized care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of nurses to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement effective care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with the Nurse Manager and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Conduct regular rounds to assess patient needs and ensure that care is being delivered in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Identify and address any issues or concerns that may impact patient care or staff morale.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure that patient care is being delivered in accordance with best practices.
- Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide education and training to staff on new policies, procedures, and technologies.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff to ensure that they are meeting performance expectations.
- Bachelor of Sciences degree in nursing (individuals hired without a BSN will be required to complete a degree program within 5 years of their hire date).
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in Medical/Surgical/Telemetry nursing with regard to regulatory guidelines and standard of practice.
- Minimum one (1) year of Clinical Unit Supervisor experience.
- Current California Nursing license.
- Certification in Medical/Surgical Nursing preferred.
- Basic EKG Competence.
- Bilingual skills preferred (Spanish).
- Basic computer skills.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record preferred.
