About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Fellow to join our Systems Engineering Directorate at Raytheon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, and System Security Engineering (SSE).

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, analysis, and verification of radar systems
  • Develop and present technical subject matter expertise to customers and senior leadership
  • Support and shape concurrent IRAD technology development programs to advance and mature hardware and software devices and technologies
  • Collaborate with Chief Engineers to provide recommendations on technical investments and develop cohesive technology roadmaps and investment plans
  • Mentor and groom lesser-experienced radar system engineers on techniques for thinking through challenging problems and standards for delivering credible results
  • Support the capture of new product line pursuits and coordinate, write, and deliver technical presentations to internal and external customers
  • Develop highly advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories, and concepts
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of 14 years of experience in related Systems Engineering or Multi-Disciplined Engineering
  • Experience in proposal, new business, and capture experience that demonstrates ability to grow the business using technical expertise
  • Experience developing user-friendly, object-oriented, GUI-based simulations and tools for array front-end hardware, signal processing, system thread-based simulation, and overall performance simulations
  • Led a team to develop, integrate, test, and deploy radar algorithms, proven through successful flight tests and real-world operations
  • Experience identifying, troubleshooting, and fixing critical algorithm design and software implementation defects
  • Experience developing radar architectures, conducting competitive analyses, performing trade studies, and supporting critical pursuits
  • Existing DOD Secret Level clearance or higher
Preferred Qualifications
  • Self-starter with ability to determine goals and objectives and pursue necessary course of action
  • Exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness
  • Experience with MS Windows operating system and MS Office products
  • Experience with Matlab
  • Experience in preparing customer and/or management level briefings
  • Excellent communication skills with prior experience presenting to customers and senior leadership
  • Working knowledge of Raytheon's products and services
  • Experience working with external customers
  • Proposal support experience
  • Knowledge navigating the organization and working with stakeholders across the company to develop solutions to key program challenges
  • Technical leadership and guidance of multi-disciplined teams in the design and development of radar technology
