Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TMWA) is a community-owned water utility serving over 400,000 residents in the Truckee Meadows. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our Water Operations department as an Apprentice Water Plant Operator.
Responsibilities- Assist experienced personnel in the operation and maintenance of water treatment and distribution facilities.
- Develop skills and knowledge in water treatment and distribution processes, including chemical feed, pumping, and valve operation.
- Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the production of safe and clean drinking water in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Age 18 or older.
- Physical ability to perform essential job functions.
- Pass a substance screening and aptitude test.
- Obtain and maintain a valid driver's license.
