About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Brand and Creative Strategy to lead the development and implementation of our organizational brand and communication strategy. This role will shape how the public perceives our organization, driving success and reputation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Brand Strategy: Define our organization's identity, values, and positioning in the market through a comprehensive brand strategy.
  • Establish Brand Voice and Guidelines: Create a clear brand voice and guidelines to maintain a cohesive brand experience across all channels.
  • Integrate Brand Standards: Ensure consistent brand standards across multichannel campaign assets, including advertising, public relations, customer events, sales collateral, digital marketing, and other content.
  • Lead Team Production: Manage team production and prioritization through a sprint process to ensure seamless internal collaboration, production forecasting, deadline delivery, and throughput reporting.
  • Develop and Measure Brand Goals: Own the development, measurement, and reporting of brand and content goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing: Work with product marketing and marketing operations to ensure content is aligned with the client journey and has a clear business objective and is measurable.
  • Leverage AI Technologies: Utilize relevant AI technologies to gain efficiency in development and scaling of brand and content development function, while advocating for and educating other parts of the organization on how to leverage AI for brand and content purposes.
  • Establish Processes: Develop processes and work with other departments and colleagues to ensure efficient development and brand consistency across all channels.
  • Oversee Public Relations: Manage public relations efforts, including media relations, press releases, and crisis management to shape our organization's public image and reputation.
  • Ensure Brand Consistency: Ensure colleagues are well-informed about our organization's brand and communication strategies and are enabled to leverage brand and content guidance and best practices in creating internal communications plans and materials.
  • Manage Budgets: Allocate and manage budgets for brand and content activities, ensuring resources are used effectively.
  • Measure Effectiveness: Measure the effectiveness of branding and communication efforts using metrics and data analysis and make adjustments based on the results.
  • Build Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with executives, key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Oversee Team: Oversee a team of professionals in roles such as graphic designers, agencies, public relations specialists, and marketing professionals.
  • Manage Team Performance: Responsible for team member performance management activities, including providing ongoing coaching and mentorship, completing review and compensation processes, etc.
  • Conduct Benchmarking: Conduct benchmarking of the competitive landscape, market research, industry trends, and customer preferences to ensure our brand and content approach is positively differentiated in the marketplace.
  • Comply with Regulations: Develop branding and communication process and deliverables in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including copyright, trademark, and advertising standards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Marketing Experience: 8+ years in B2B marketing, preferably in technology, insurance, or agency.
  • Design Team Management: Experience managing a design team or multiple designers.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, internally and externally facing, with experience communicating and working closely with C-level executives.
  • Goal Setting: Experience setting goals, KPIs, reporting, and analytics.
  • Marketing Experience: Substantial experience in marketing, branding, and communications.
  • Leadership Experience: Previous experience in leadership or management roles, with experience leading teams and projects.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey ideas and strategies clearly and persuasively.
  • Social Media Management: Proficiency in social media management.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to analyze data and conduct market research.
  • Brand Enthusiasm: Strong belief in and enthusiasm for our brand and mission.
