Job Description:As a Shelter Caregiver Specialist, you will be the primary point of contact for clients, providing emotional support and connecting them with essential resources. Your duties will include:
Key Responsibilities:- Providing a safe and respectful environment for clients, adhering to our shelter's guidelines and protocols.
- Assisting clients with their daily needs, including laundry, meal preparation, and personal care.
- Collaborating with our team to develop and implement individualized plans to help clients achieve their goals.
- Communicating effectively with clients, staff, and volunteers to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting incidents or concerns to the Shelter Supervisor.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Essential Skills and Qualifications:- A high school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in a related field is preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Physical ability to lift 35 pounds and perform tasks that require standing, walking, and bending.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you will be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and holidays.
