Job Summary

The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for creating and tracking manufacturer orders based on material planner/analyst requests. This role works closely with the warehouse team to prioritize and complete escalated customer backorders. Key responsibilities include reviewing and resolving invoice discrepancies before payment is scheduled.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create manufacturer orders and transfer tickets for each manufacturing operation needed to produce the product.
  • Collaborate with Production Control to determine the proper sequencing/priority of manufacturing operations.
  • Process local purchase requests and orders.
  • Review and validate invoices from vendors before presenting them to the Finance department.
  • Work with the CN Buying team to resolve discrepancies on PO/SO/Invoices.
  • Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive work environment that fosters open feedback and two-way communication at all levels.
  • Ensure warehouse processes are organized and running smoothly at all times.
  • Responsible for maintaining a positive work environment that supports the company's culture.
  • Responsible for promoting a healthy and safe work environment, focusing on the well-being of all associates.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Minimum one year of related experience preferred.
  • Ability to work with and analyze large amounts of data.
  • Ability to establish positive working relationships with internal customers.
  • Willingness to take direction and work independently.
  • Clear success in delivering supply chain solutions with demonstrated results.
  • End-to-end supply chain knowledge.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment.
  • Experience with ERP and forecasting systems.
  • Self-motivational skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to clearly organize and categorize work priorities to complete tasks.
  • Critical analysis and complex problem-solving skills.
  • English and Mandarin bilingual a plus.
