Job Title: Senior Desktop Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Desktop Engineer to join our team at Koniag Government Services. As a Senior Desktop Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and enhancing the Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) environment to support modern desktop management co-management with Intune.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and optimize the MECM environment to support modern desktop management co-management with Intune.
  • Design, deploy, and enhance the MECM environment to meet organizational needs.
  • Lead successful deployments of enterprise-class solutions and projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones.
  • Administer MECM and Intune to ensure effective desktop management.
  • Produce clear and concise technical documentation and engineering diagrams.
  • Demonstrate an expert-level understanding of modern desktop management principles and practices.
  • Implement and support Microsoft Bitlocker features for enhanced security.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience working with MECM in an enterprise environment.
  • Proven experience in designing and enhancing MECM environments for modern desktop management co-management with Intune.
  • Expertise in configuring and managing MECM and Intune in an enterprise setting.
  • Strong project management skills with a focus on leading successful deployments.
  • Ability to produce comprehensive technical documents and engineering diagrams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Team-focused mindset to drive project success.
  • Advanced understanding of modern desktop management concepts and technologies.
Desired Skills and Competencies:
  • Additional certifications related to Microsoft technologies and desktop management.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for desktop environments.
Work Environment and Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position, and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate.

The incumbent is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.

The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations, and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
