Job Title: General Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead our team at The Pickleball Club at Lakewood Ranch. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the overall success of our club, including staff management, financial accountability, and member satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Development: Establish clear objectives and vision, foster open communications, and promote team collaboration.
  • Member Growth: Implement strategies to attract new members and retain existing ones, regularly assess member satisfaction, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Sales & Revenue Generation: Develop strategies to boost revenue through memberships, pickleball events, and programs, and analyze financial performance to adjust operations as needed.
  • Member & Guest Relations: Provide a welcoming and positive experience for club members and guests, promptly addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Event Planning: Oversee the planning and execution of special events, tournaments, and social gatherings in the Players' Courtyard and Players' Mezzanine Lounge.
  • Programming Innovation: Continuously develop new programming ideas that appeal to members, such as pickleball clinics, wellness events, or leagues and tournaments.
  • Marketing & Promotions: Execute marketing campaigns to promote the club, cafe, pro shop, and special events.
  • Community Involvement: Engage with the local community to promote the club as a hub for pickleball enthusiasts and those interested in artisanal food and social events.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business management, sports management, marketing, hospitality, food & beverage, or related fields.
  • Experience: Sports programming and sports event operations expertise.
  • Skills: Demonstrated pickleball skills or other racquet sports preferred, food handler's license within 30 days of being hired, and ability to use Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills.
Working Conditions:
  • Environment: Climate-controlled 30,000 sq ft building with offices on the mezzanine deck.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to sit from time to time to operate a computer, with most time spent in the Club working with staff.

Compensation:

Generous base salary + bonus opportunity and equity, based on experience, qualifications, and the Club's success.
