The Boys & Girls Club of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties Inc is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Club Director to oversee the daily operations, programs, and services of the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Staff Supervision: Hire, train, supervise, and provide performance management for all Club staff.
- Provide ongoing professional development opportunities for staff, fostering a positive team culture and ensuring adherence to BGCSDC policies and procedures.
- Manage schedules and approve employee timecards for payroll processing.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and maintained Club facility that meets BGCSDC standards.
- Communicate all facility maintenance and necessary repairs.
- Ensure that signs and posters are attractively and prominently displayed throughout the Clubhouse.
- Complete and submit reports, financial records, and member statistics.
- Create a monthly report on the member's attendance, programs, and activities provided evaluations of each program/activity offered, and a fiscal report on expenses/revenue for submission to Director, Program Services.
- Conduct monthly inventory of equipment and supplies.
- Attend scheduled staff meetings.
- Ensure Club and Staff are equipped for crisis management.
- Assist with special events and/or programs.
- Conduct regular evaluations of club programs and operations to identify areas for improvement and growth.
- Promote and market club programs to attract and retain members.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, community leaders, schools, and other stakeholders.
- Represent the club at community events and meetings.
- Consult with parents concerning member and Club issues.
- Work with Advancement team on arranging/conducting tours.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a diverse team, set performance goals, and foster professional development.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Bachelor's Degree required, Master's degree preferred.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- 6+ years of experience in Club leadership or a related field.
- Pass pre-employment background screening and drug test.
- Valid FL Driver's License and be insured under the BGCSDC's policy.
- Occasional nights and weekends are required.
