Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing Specialist to join our team in downtown Boston. As a Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for executing marketing strategies that drive awareness and preference for the Sungage brand within the solar community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative and Project Management
    • Manage the procurement and fulfillment of branded merchandise
    • Develop and execute content for social media platforms
    • Assist the Brand Manager in maintaining the database of marketing assets and ensuring they are current and accurate
    • Provide new hire onboarding assistance, including business cards, headshots, and account transition emails
    • Process invoices and follow up on accounts receivable issues
    • Maintain a competitive claims database
    • Support the development of market research to optimize learning or build claim substantiation
    • Report on responsiveness tracking for social and email campaigns
  • Design and Campaign Management
    • Assist in the creation of sales enablement tools, such as collateral, presentations, videos, case studies, website content, digital advertising, marketing emails, and landing pages
    • Design and deploy multi-channel marketing campaigns, including email, in-app pop-ups, SMS messages, and organic social media
    • Oversee the ideation and selection of branded merchandise
    • Consult on other brand visualization opportunities, such as work environment, holiday gifting, trade show presence, and more
    • Provide creative direction to freelance design work
  • Writing and Communication
    • Produce engaging content that drives response among our channel partners, including blogs, newsletters, price change emails, infographics, videos, webinars, social media, website content, and other interactive content
    • Participate in the development of training materials in collaboration with key internal stakeholders, including sales leadership, product, and customer service leaders
    • Develop internal process documentation as needed
    • Prepare and present marketing workflow status updates and online recaps
    • Manage our brand's professional reputation through platforms like Trustpilot, Google, Yelp, EnergySage, and Better Business Bureau by responding to high praise or criticism in online reviews in a timely and professional manner
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of marketing experience in a dynamic, fast-paced marketing environment where innovation and agility are highly valued
  • Excellent writing skills (a writing sample will be required)
  • Knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, Adobe Express preferred
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills; comfortable in front of large, senior groups
  • Exceptional critical thinking and project management skills; ability to prioritize and balance multiple, ongoing projects, organized and detail-oriented
  • Solid quantitative/analytical skills and strong attention to detail
  • Experience with Salesforce and marketing automation platforms
  • Must be collaborative, comfortable in a start-up environment, and able to adapt as expectations and responsibilities evolve
  • Interest in solar and/or working for a mission-driven company
  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing or commensurate experience
  • Previous solar experience a plus
  • COVID-19 Vaccinated
