Job Title: Systems Analyst - Point of Sale

Chameleon Technologies, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Systems Analyst - Point of Sale to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for defining, refining, designing, testing, and implementing highly technical requirements based on business/functional requirements communicated by the Product Owner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and refine technical requirements aligned to functional requirements defined within user stories.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to define, design, test, and implement specific functional requirements of the system.
  • Develop, implement, and test detailed system design requirements in applications based on acceptance criteria outlined within user stories.
  • Identify, design, and implement configurations in applications as defined by business requirements.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions complying with standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Work with application teams to develop manual/automated test plans to validate the functionality implemented throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Develop requirement traceability matrices to confirm the delivery of functional and non-functional requirements within a given product/application.
  • Identify and communicate improvement opportunities (functional and non-functional) to improve product quality and performance based on input provided by technology team members.
  • Define detailed technical requirement documentation aligned to blueprints and technical designs prepared by System Architects.
  • Support the root cause analysis and remediation process to resolve defects and/or issues reported by product/application teams and stakeholders.
  • Translate highly technical specifications into clear non-technical requirements that can be understood by product owners and other business stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation of best practices for scalability, supportability, ease of maintenance, and system performance.
  • Prepare release notes outlining the functional and technical changes introduced by application teams within a given release.
  • Collaborate with product team members to ensure technical requirements implemented by application teams adhere to guidelines and standards defined by architects.
  • Support the definition of test data requirements.
  • Install, configure, test, and support a variety of Point of Sale applications.
  • Design specific applications as assigned, including traceability back to requirements.
  • Create test scripts and execute adequate unit and system testing while providing necessary test documentation.
  • Provide mentoring and support to both project and area team members.
  • Create strong relationships with vendor's product development groups.
  • Partner with management to initiate projects and develop and manage solution scope.
  • Develop technical specifications by collaborating with technical and non-technical teams, translating functional designs into technical designs, validating macro designs, and reviewing micro designs.
  • Design, develop, and execute testing protocols to include unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, and system testing, as driven by requirements.
  • Perform systems and data analysis on applications and the operating system to understand functional design requirements determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.
  • Manage, define, drive, and execute as needed, the implementation of configurations across applications and interfaces.
  • Assist teammates in growing and developing the skills necessary to grasp team application concepts and tool suite.
  • Identify and resolve problems, often anticipating issues before they occur or before they grow; develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Participate in the development of deployment and release work plans, schedules, and tasks within a project phase.
  • Coordinate, plan, design, and produce deliverables for the training phase.
  • Develop and ensure adherence to establishment of standards, best practices, governances, and patterns.
  • Develop, maintain, catalog, and manage the appropriate project and process documentation and repositories.
Requirements:
  • 4-5+ years' experience with Toshiba ACE application.
  • 4-5+ years' experience with Toshiba SKY/4690 OS and hardware solutions.
  • 4-5+ years' experience with Self-Checkout Solutions.
  • 3-4+ years' experience with Toshiba Elevate Platform.
  • 3-4+ years' experience with Toshiba Elera Platform.
  • 3-4+ years' experience with POS remote enterprise tools: StoreGazer (EDJ), PAS (Toshiba).
  • 3-4+ years' experience managing register hardware firmware, bios, configuration updates for a large enterprise.
  • 1-2+ years' experience with database support and management: SQL.
  • 1-2+ years' experience with Cloud based solutions: Azure, AWS.
  • 1-2+ years' experience with integrated and semi-integrated payment solutions.
  • 1-2+ years' experience with managing, supporting, and integrating Cash Recycling solutions.
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of PCI, SOX, and Data Governance.
  • Process driven and result oriented with high attention to detail.
  • Self-starter, with the ability to work independently, and with different groups or teams, utilizing solid communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of evolving industry standards and technologies in the Point of Sale environment.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated ability to effectively troubleshoot and provide solutions.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Responsible, conscientious, and possesses a passion for excellence.
  • Possesses a strong work ethic, demonstrated attention to detail, and excellent time management skills.
  • Available to support the business as needed, including nights, weekends, after hours, and on-call.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Deep understanding of evolving Point of Sale industry standards and technologies.
  • Thorough understanding of Agile, Kanban & Scrum product development frameworks, principles, and values.

Salary Range: $115K-$160K
