Job Title: Functional Tax Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Tax Analyst to join our team at Redtech. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing and delivering complex cross-functional business requirements and process flows.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and deliver complex cross-functional business requirements and process flows.
  • Perform gap analysis between as-is and to-be processes, and make recommendations on areas for continual process improvement.
  • Execute and lead the development of technical specifications by collaborating with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Define detailed technical requirement documentation aligned to the blueprints and technical designs prepared by System Architect.
  • Design, develop, and execute testing protocols to include unit testing, integration testing, and system testing.
  • Perform systems and data analysis to understand functional design requirements and determine how the system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.
  • Assist teammates in growing and developing the skills necessary to grasp application concepts and tool suite.
  • Manage, define, drive, and execute as needed, the implementation of configurations across applications and interfaces.
  • Assist teammates in growing and developing the skills necessary to elicit and translate requirements into functional design.
  • Identify and resolve problems often anticipating issues before they occur or before they grow; develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Develop and ensure adherence to establishment of standards, best practices, governances, and patterns.
  • Respond to requests from IT and Business teams. Work from documented detailed business requirements in context of target business outcome. Business requirements must consider business processes, data, business-user and technology.
  • Collaborate with both IT and Business partners to clarify requirements and to support development. Verify solution proposal for business requirement coverage.
  • Support delivery of projects and enhancements. Clarify requirements and perform supporting configuration as needed.
  • Participate in and/or verify solution design. Coach business team on data activities and UAT. Be an advocate for Procurement and our partners, and facilitate good communication between the two organizations.
  • Regular and reliable workplace attendance at your assigned location.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years experience working as a Functional/Systems Analyst in any domain/applications with an emphasis on Functional Solutions.
  • Experience with tax solutions (Vertex, Sabrix, Avalara) - Vertex is ideal.
  • Proven track record for successful implementation, delivery of projects, and working cross-functionally with business and IS.
  • Must possess excellent analytical skills and demonstrated ability to effectively troubleshoot and provide solutions.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and effectively engage with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Must possess demonstrated strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic, demonstrated attention to detail, and excellent time management skills.
  • Must be available to work as needed to honor project commitments, meet deadlines, and support assigned business area needs (e.g., nights and weekends).
  • Familiarity with XML technologies, including SOAP or REST web services, XML Schemas, XSLT, and XPath.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience on SAP or other ERP implementation projects.
  • Experience with tooling related to data analysis (SQL, SSIS, Data Profiling, etc.).
  • Proficient in the use of the Google products: email, spreadsheet, document, presentation.
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow (Carts+) Portfolio & Program Management module.
  • Past experience with Agile.
