Position Overview:

The Security division is seeking a Business Continuity Analyst to contribute to ongoing initiatives aimed at enhancing organizational resilience. This role involves engaging with established projects and ensuring their progression. The analyst will collaborate with four primary business sectors to advance the continuity program. Key responsibilities include refining manual processes, conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), maintaining documentation, identifying gaps in existing plans, facilitating training sessions, and organizing relevant materials.

Experience in a similar sector with nationwide operations is highly advantageous.

Role Summary:

We are in search of a seasoned Business Continuity Analyst with extensive expertise in continuity planning and testing. This individual will oversee the Business Continuity program across the organization, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the program's resilience against various challenges. Responsibilities include tracking updates to existing plans, facilitating reviews, and documenting necessary approvals. The analyst will expand the scope of continuity plans based on stakeholder feedback and critical business assessments, ensuring alignment with Disaster Recovery plans for both traditional and ransomware scenarios. Daily management of continuity activities and coordination with IT resilience efforts are essential components of this role. Understanding organizational priorities and the implications of internal and external dependencies on service delivery is crucial. Some travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Governance of the Business Continuity program, including mission, vision, policies, and reporting metrics.
  • Creation and coordination of regular updates for the Business Continuity program.
  • Facilitation of business impact analyses and risk assessments across the organization.
  • Development and maintenance of appropriate Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and crisis management plans.
  • Alignment of operational recovery plans with Business Continuity strategies.
  • Recordkeeping for developed plans.
  • Design and facilitation of tests and exercises related to business continuity and crisis management.
  • Support during events by assisting with Business Continuity plan navigation.
  • Participation in post-exercise discussions to enhance future responses.
  • Training provision for business teams regarding Business Continuity management.
  • Recommendations for improving business continuity and disaster recovery systems.
  • Management of relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective continuity processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect and analyze data effectively.
  • Experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Incident Response operations.
  • Demonstrated initiative and sound judgment with a focus on achieving results.
  • Clear communication skills for conveying continuity and recovery requirements to various organizational levels.
  • Ability to foster relationships across management and staff to achieve consensus.
  • Capability to work independently and manage project timelines with minimal oversight.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Business Continuity management and resilience concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
