Job Title: Continuous Improvement Engineer

About the Role:

Folding Guard, a leading manufacturer of safety, security, and storage products, is seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements, streamlining operations, and reducing waste.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes by applying continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Lead and manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with company goals.
  • Analyze data and process metrics to identify areas for improvement, utilizing statistical tools and methodologies to understand process capabilities and set improvement targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and supply chain, to implement process improvements and drive cultural change.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions on continuous improvement techniques and tools, mentoring and coaching team members in lean methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer expectations, implementing and maintaining quality control systems.
  • Assess new technologies and automation opportunities, proposing and overseeing the integration of new equipment or software to enhance productivity.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Industrial, Mechanical, or a closely related field.
  • 3-7 years of experience in a continuous improvement role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proven track record in project management and process optimization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of initiative and independence.
