As a Senior Financial Planning Specialist at Robert W. Baird & Co., you will play a key role in providing specialized services to experienced Financial Advisors and Baird Qualified Teams. Your primary objective will be to assist in their ability to offer sophisticated wealth management solutions to individuals and families, while strategically building the client base.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating within the team's client service and wealth management strategy to ensure high-quality client service.
  • Providing Financial Advisors with quantitative specific analysis, including domestic and international equity, domestic fixed income, real estate, etc.
  • Conducting due diligence on investment managers and analyzing client portfolios to recommend rebalancing and re-allocation as appropriate.
  • Offering investment ideas based on team guidelines and asset allocation strategies tailored to the risk profile and investment objectives of clients.
  • Reviewing, researching, and analyzing data to create customized, annual financial plans for clients.
  • Delivering the financial plan to clients in partnership with the Financial Advisor/Team.
  • Providing or leading financial education, such as long-term planning, social security/Medicare, tax return reviews utilizing our team of experts.
  • Assisting with marketing efforts, such as a newsletter or LinkedIn presence, to solicit additional planning business with the existing client base and to establish the team as a planning team in front of prospects.
  • Documenting, following up, and supporting the closing of opportunities identified from the financial planning process.
  • Serving as a Team specialist for queries on financial planning topics and consulting with the Financial Advisors/Team on specific client scenarios.
  • Monitoring and tracking client revenues related to financial planning work to ensure sales opportunities are maximized.
  • Participating in the investment decision process by analyzing existing and potential opportunities and aiding in performance analysis and reporting functions.
  • Creating asset allocation studies utilizing data collected in the client profiling process.
  • Ensuring knowledge of entire investment solution suite and recommending investment solutions to the Financial Advisor or for client use based upon clients' needs and constraints.
  • Reviewing account performance for accuracy and/or calculation adjustments.
  • Previewing incoming/existing client policy statements.

Requirements include:

  • An undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent.
  • CDFA, CFP, CPWA, CIMA, CFA, CPA, or higher-level education equivalent within one year of assuming the Associate Financial Advisor role.
  • A minimum of three years of investment experience in a client-facing role.
