Job Summary:

Lubbock Heart Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team. As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will be responsible for designing and conducting educational programs for nursing staff, coordinating orientation programs for new staff members, and maintaining education programs for existing staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and conduct educational programs for nursing staff to enhance their knowledge and skills.
  • Coordinate orientation programs for new staff members to ensure a smooth transition into their roles.
  • Coordinate the Preceptor program to provide support and guidance to new staff members.
  • Maintain education programs for existing staff to ensure they remain up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and procedures.
  • Coordinate clinical opportunities for nursing students from local schools of nursing to provide them with hands-on experience and exposure to our hospital's clinical environment.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Currently licensed in the state of Texas.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • BCLS and ACLS required.

Work Environment:

Lubbock Heart Hospital is a highly active inpatient center specializing in the care of cardiac, orthopedic, nephrology, urology, and general medical patients. We have a 24-hour Emergency Department with 5 fully equipped ED rooms, 4 fully operating OR rooms, 4 cardiac catheterization labs with 1 electrophysiology room, 11-day surgery rooms, 58 acute care beds spread over three units, and 16 cardiac critical care rooms.
