Job Summary

As a Senior CS Application Analyst at Barnes & Noble, you will serve as the primary liaison between customer service teams and business system teams. Your expertise will ensure that customer and agent needs are prioritized, and you will identify opportunities to automate processes and functions as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in business process redesign and documentation for customer or agent impacting initiatives.
  • Meet with business and system partners to share customer service requirements and pain points.
  • Routinely review service emails to eliminate customer confusion.
  • Interpret and communicate information on order production issues.
  • Partner with CS business leaders to ensure they understand the impact of system issues on their business.
  • Provide CS perspective for new initiatives.
  • Provide customer and agent impact to BN system teams while sharing solution recommendations.
  • Gather and organize information on problems or procedures.
  • Analyze data gathered and develop solutions or alternative methods of proceeding.
Requirements
  • Possess an understanding of technological trends and use this knowledge to bring solutions to business units.
  • Can analyze ambiguous situations and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a customer-driven, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrate strong prioritization and analytical skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize multiple projects/tasks concurrently while meeting required deadlines.
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills.
  • Well-organized and manages time effectively.
  • Makes decisions based on sound logic.
  • Adapts well to changing situations.
  • Is reliable in using good judgment.
