Job Summary

The Enrollment Management Data Analyst will work closely with personnel from enrollment management, utilizing the expertise and resources of Enrollment Management, Institutional Research, and Information Technology to implement the research and reporting agenda for enrollment management. This includes data quality initiatives, data-warehousing strategies, and other data management activities, data analysis, and report development leveraging tools such as ARGOS, Banner, PL/SQL, and other university resources.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Enrollment Management Leadership Team to set strategic direction and goals for the Enrollment Management unit.
  • Develop and maintain statistical models of student flow through the university, using those models to simulate the effect of proposal changes to university practice, and make short-term and long-term enrollment projections based on explicit assumptions.
  • Integrate concepts and data from various sources, such as institutional databases, EAB, the College Board, ACT, National Student Clearinghouse, IPEDS, and other national data banks, to create analyses that serve the university's enrollment management needs.
  • Produce executive-level reports, including an annual study of matriculating and non-matriculating admitted students.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in information sciences, information management, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years relevant work experience in higher education and/or closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in quantitative research methodology and data analysis, including logistic regression.
  • Strong analytical and logical thinking skills, with the ability to identify and solve problems.
  • Strong background in applied use of various statistical tools, such as SPSS, SAS, SQL, Access, and Excel.
  • Experience using data for strategic planning purposes.
  • Experience with project management and data warehouse concepts.
  • Ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality of information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Broad understanding and current knowledge of enrollment trends, enrollment management, and issues in higher education.
