Job Summary

The Licensed Vocational Nurse/RN is responsible for providing healthcare services to students, administering first aid, and dispensing medications under the direction of a healthcare professional. The successful candidate will incorporate healthcare plans directed by physicians, provide appropriate care for ill, medically fragile, and injured students, and identify health problems for referral for proper treatment. The LVN/RN will maintain health records and other files, adhering to the scope of practice of their licensure.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in a healthcare setting involving contact with children. Relevant experience, education, certificates, and/or licenses may be substituted. The successful candidate will also hold a current California LVN or RN license, current First Aid and CPR certificate, and a valid driver's license.

Selection Process

Contracted employees of Sanger Unified School District holding the title of LVN/RN requesting a transfer will be granted a site interview. If fewer than three qualified transfer requests are received, applicants from the eligibility list will be interviewed for a total of at least three candidates.
