Early Mobility Nurse Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Early Mobility CNA to join our team at UNC Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and promoting a culture of mobility.
Responsibilities- Provide mobility interventions for patients under the direction of the RN and in collaboration with the Department of Rehabilitation Services.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) with a focus on mobility such as ambulation, positioning, and toileting.
- Utilize patient handling equipment, transfer devices, and protective equipment in compliance with Hospital policies and patient handling protocols while utilizing proper body mechanics and observation.
- Record and provide data to analyze key performance indicators and promote a safe patient environment.
- Comply with nursing and infection control practices in accordance with established Hospital and department policies and procedures.
- Encourage improved activity levels for patients as medically appropriate.
- High School diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a Level I - Nurse Aide education program approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Currently listed as a Nursing Assistant I (NAI) with the Division of Facility Services with no substantiated findings of abuse, fraud, neglect or misappropriation of property.
- BCLS certification must be maintained.
