Job Summary

This is a full-time Nursing Assistant position at UNC Health Care, where you will provide routine direct and indirect patient care in a hospital, clinic, or home health care setting. As a Nursing Assistant, you will work under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or physician, assisting with routine examinations and procedures, and providing support to patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures.
  • Provide support to patients and their families during admission, orientation, and discharge.
  • Assist with routine care and treatments, including vital sign measurement, specimen collection, and wound care.
  • Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Assist with indirect care, including cleaning, restocking supplies, and transporting patients and supplies.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or General Education Development (GED)
  • Listed as Nursing Assistant I with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Prefer six (6) months of nursing assistant experience
