Nursing Assistant I

This Nursing Assistant I position is an exciting opportunity to join our team at UNC Health Care, where you will provide direct and indirect patient care in a hospital, clinic, or home health care setting.
Responsibilities- Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures.
- Provide care and treatments to patients as outlined in the plan of care, including vital sign measurement, specimen collection, and wound care.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Provide indirect care to patients and assigned areas, including cleaning, restocking supplies, and transporting patients and supplies.
- Reinforce routine teaching given to patients by registered nurses or physicians and document patient understanding of instructions.
- Must be listed as Nursing Assistant I with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Prefer six (6) months of nursing assistant experience.
- Fluent in verbal and written English language and able to develop basic computer skills.
