Job Summary

The DuPage County Health Department is seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team in providing preventive dental care services to the community. As an on-call Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for providing dental prophylaxis, dental sealants, and other preventive procedures to patients of all ages. You will also conduct dental health educational programs for professional groups, schools, and community organizations.

Responsibilities
  • Provides preventive dental care services, including dental prophylaxis, dental sealants, and fluoride treatments.
  • Conducts dental health educational programs for professional groups, schools, and community organizations.
  • Collaborates with other service providers to ensure that necessary treatment is received.
  • Assists in collecting, recording, and tabulating survey data needed for grant requirements and to evaluate programs.
  • Attends professional meetings and seminars to stay up-to-date on the latest dental hygiene practices.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene and one year of experience as a Dental Hygienist are required. Current Illinois Dental Hygiene licensure is also required. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
